There are tasks that are gross enough that you only undertake them out of love and duty.

One such task is cleaning dog crap from the treads in your wife's good shoes.

Tools used included:

• a garden hose
  
• the weeds around the side of the house
  
• the tree stump around the side of the house
  
• paper towels
  
• Q-tips
  
• hydrogen peroxide
  
• rubbing alcohol
  
• a paper clip
  
• Lysol Scrubbing Bubbles
  
• a toilet plunger due to some problems with the disposal of some of the above items.
  

But the task is done.

Oh, yeah. I grew up on the Gulf Coast. Down there, cockroaches are not only large and capable of flying, they're also intelligent enough to fly straight at your face. Yetch.

Actually, I once amused a newcomer to our tropical paradise by demonstrating that a soup bowl inverted over a cockroach did not stop him, for he dragged the bowl with him. D

Yech, indeed. The problem is, with global warming and all that, the ones up north in NYC are starting to fly more often. (shudders)
