And I said it was totally not what I expected -- I'd heard it was a mild cheese, and this was much more like a blue cheese?

Turns out there are two different Wensleydale cheeses -- white and blue.

I just bought a white Wensleydale, because it had a picture of Wallace and Grommet on it.

Man, that's good. Okay, the blue Wensleydale is still good, if you want something in the blue family -- but the white Wensleydale is rapidly becoming one of my favorite "Hmm -- I want a piece of cheese to munch on" cheeses.

(Does this post count as trawling for [livejournal.com profile] solipsistnation? See, [livejournal.com profile] solipsistnation is a total cheese-geek.)

I've had white Wensleydale with cranberries. Mmmmmmm! Expensive but worth it.

The one I had had cranberries, too, and I thought it was a white one, but it tasted blue. So . . . maybe it was spoiled? Maybe some blue Wensleydale mold floated over to that batch? Dunno.

Yeah, I've seen a lot of Wensleydale with cranberries about, although I can't actualyl remember whether it was of the white or blue variety. I think it's more common (around here) to see it with cranberries than without, which is odd, even though it is a good combination...

The Wild Oats has the plain stuff now, if you don't mind getting it in a "Curse of the Were-Rabbit" wrapper. Which I don't.

I have not seen it yet and am totally disappointed. No one around here wants to see it with me :( Mike and I have seen every Wallace and Gromit in the movie theater together. This will be the first one I don't see with him :( Anyone want to fly to florida to see the movie with me??

I have been thinking about Mike a lot lately. Our friend, Melody, was visiting from Hawaii and did some firespinning for us, which of course made me think of Mike. You can read about this experience in my LJ posting called ""Moon, Magic, Mars, and Melody".

I wish I could go see the movie with you! We could wear Cheese Head Hats and bring cheezits in a baggie, and go out afterwards for fondue in that great restaurant you took dad and me to with [livejournal.com profile] xiphias and [livejournal.com profile] cheshyre. Oh, for a transporter...

Sounds like a great idea for a crazy weekend trip!
Any idea how much longer it will be playing?

Where in Florida? We just moved to Sanford, outside Orlando, and we haven't seen it yet either. And we want to! ('We' is my husband and me. I'm not using the royal we.)

We're in Milwaukee this week with his family, but will be home next Monday.
