Sometimes you feel like an idiot for not figuring out something you should have known all along.

Why didn't I realize that, if your hatchet or machete becomes dull from use, you put the edge back with a FILE, not a STONE? I've never been able to resharpen them. And now, it took me all of ten minutes to sharpen two hatchets and a machete, not to knife-sharpness, but to, y'know, hatchet-sharpness. A stone is to get things to knife-sharpness or better. When you're just going to use it to whack wood and stuff, you don't need it THAT sharp. You need it file-sharp.

I feel like I should have figured this out, or at least been told, some time in my childhood.
