Trip so far

So: flight came in about two-ish; went over to Lis's folks' house for the afternoon. Freckles, the formerly-feral cat that now lives with them full-time, is a lot calmer than last time we saw her; she's now a lapcat, and very friendly. Chico, the partially-feral cat that lives in the backyard is now Chico, the hardly-feral-at-all cat who lives mainly in the house, and in the backyard.

Looked at stuff for and talked about their business, www.i-kandi.com; it looks like it's going well and growing by leaps and bounds, which is a more pleasant set of problems to deal with than if it wasn't.

That evening, went over to Lis's Dad's parents' house for dinner; got to see Josh and Missy (Lis's brother and his wife). Food was incredible, as always; Lis's Bubbe is an incredible cook. Flanken, chicken, stuffed cabbage, turkey, a few other things.

After dinner, we drove the car that Lis's grandparents got for us back to Lis's parents' house. It's lavender. Lis says it's purple. Lis's mother says it's periwinkle. I still think it's lavender. But, since Lis's mother's a dressmaker, she has a good color sense. But it's lavender, not periwinkle. And "purple" is certainly not specific enough.

We hung out with Lis's folks for a couple hours, then went to the hotel, checked in, and went to sleep.

We were going to get together with Lis's brother this morning, but he had to go into work early -- since he was injured in motorcycle training, he'd had to take a couple days off of work, so to make up his 40 hours, he needed to go in earlier today. He's back on pretty much full duty; he went to SWAT monthly training yesterday. So, maybe we'll get together tomorrow for breakfast, before we hit the road.

Instead, we spent some time with Lis's folks, then a little time with Lis's grandfolks, then back to Lis's folks' house, where we had lunch, watched "The Producers" on DVD, and are now watching "Queer Eye For The Straight Guy", which Lis and I have never seen. So, that's our trip up until now.
