Actually, a double feature of Finding Nemo and Pirates.

The non-spoilery-bit -- I really enjoyed both movies.

First -- AAARRGGH! I've REALLY REALLY REALLY wanted to do something in a roleplaying game where the heroes are gonna be on this ship, see, and there was gonna be this bunch of zombies or skeletons or other undead who were gonna be attacking them, and they'd expect them to be coming by boats, but really, the undead would just walk across the bottom of the ocean and climb aboard. But now people will be EXPECTING that.

Just, in general, good plot. Few people acted stupidly. Liked Capt. Jack's plan. "Hmm. I'm gonna be fighting an unkillable undead monster. Better get ME some o' that good undead mojo first, just to be on the safe side. . . "

Y'all did stay till the end of the credits, right, and saw the bit with the monkey?

Lis made an interesting point: Wm. Turner Sr. was last seen heading to the bottom of the ocean, tied to a cannon. But, see, the curse had already hit at that point, which means that he was unkillable. He had ten years to work himself loose from those ties -- think Turner Sr. is still around somewhere? Or did we misunderstand how the curse worked?

i thought that too, about Turner Sr. Hmmmm. you think he was just floating around somewhere and when they broke the curse he drowned? hehe.

oh wait, you mean that Pirates...

...but if Johnny Depp would permit his singing voice to be dubbed, he'd make a really terrific Pirate King. And I bet Orlando can sing tenor too. Surely, some of the net's best parodists have already begun work on The Pirates Of Penzance, or, The Curse Of The Ill-Natured Fairy...

All except this one, who was undead once, but has come to life today, and means to live a fairy life till divorce or death do part us! - The Grand Pirates of Iogore.

I and HWIAND had the same thought about Turner Sr.

Or, for that matter, since they thought they needed the coin back, why didn't the Black Pearl folks go and get him back and bring him back up?

The only thing I can think of is that there are effective limits to depth or something: they can walk across the bottom of the ocean so long as it's relatively shallow, but maybe they tossed Turner Sr. down a deep crevasse or something.
