Other than that both are distilled spirits, I don't really think it's fair or appropriate to compare slivovitz with bourbon any more than it would be appropriate to compare bourbon with brandy. Also, I realize that slivovitz is kind of traditional but aren't there some other distilled spirits that are arguably better that would generally be acceptable as kosher for Passover? Calvados perhaps?
I got a bottle of Calvados for Pesach, too -- I even found a brand that the Beit Din of London had certified as KvP. I drank them both, and like them both... but neither are bourbon.
