Y'know, the one that's in the process of dying. The one that we brought in, originally, because the windows wouldn't roll up.

Bruce had mentioned that they'd stopped on of the louder squeaks, just because they had to bend something back into position in order to check out the car.

On the drive home, I was wondering how much quieter the car was now.

So I rolled down the window to listen. Ooops.

I now need to saran-wrap the window. . .

On the plus side, the car's running a lot quieter. . .

... they didn't fix the windows?

I'm sorry, but I'm laughing my fuzzy butt off right now. :D

No, they didn't fix the windows. They starting with the "intermittent start" problem, when it became clear that it was probably not going to be an EASY problem to fix, we decided to do the $95 "is this car worth fixing" diagnostic, which came back with, "Don't put ANY more money into this car," so they didn't fix the windows.

You know, when our old caddy died that's almost exactly what happened. We sent it in to deal with the fact that the drivers side window wouldn't roll up and it occasionally refused to start. In the process of diagnosing, they found that the engine had terminal cancer and two months to live and decided we wouldn't want to put any more money into the car, so didn't fix the window :)
