Poor Lis...

So, Lis has a routine medical test thingy coming up on Monday, and she has to drink this nasty-tasting stuff to get ready, all this weekend.

This is terrible for her for two reasons. The first is that she's a supertaster, so it's, like, four times as bitter and nasty for her as it would be for an average person. But the other thing is that she just doesn't drink liquid much at all. Like most librarians, she gets all the fluids she needs from the bodies of her prey.

I know the stuff you speak of. It's a pity she can't inject it into one of her prey and drink it that way, it would taste better.

Ah, "prep." I've done it twice in the past few years: once for the first-time colonoscopy, then again a year or so later in preparation for a radiology dye test that wound up being called off after I'd done the prep and the fasting because they were afraid to inject me with the dye.

I wonder if it's the same stuff we had back in the early 70's... it was sorta florescent green and thick. They said that I had to sit down and wait 30 minutes for it to get into my system (went in on a 24-hour fast). Then they X-Ray'd me from neck to knees, more or less...

i had to drink miralax mixed in gatorade, dint taste too bad. but it was still fast&blast.
