There was a theory in writing pulps which said that your story could be as ridiculous as you wanted, so long as it moved fast enough and was entertaining enough that your reader just wasn't able to slow down long enough to NOTICE how little sense it made. This is basically what SLEEPY HOLLOW, now in its third episode, is. If you slow down and start to think about it, the thing is entirely CONSTRUCTED of tied-together plot holes -- it's kind of like a fish net. But the chemistry between the leads is good, the characters are appealing, and it just moves.

I'd have to add it up, but I think that just about half the people with speaking roles in this episode were women, and just about half the people with speaking roles were minority of some sort -- Black, Latino/a, Mohawk.

It works.

There was a screen shot in the first recap from IO9, with Abbie, her superior, and colleague.

"There’s something unusual here for network TV, but I can’t quite put my finger on it. What could it be? Whaaaaat could it be."
