A lot of people felt that the Board of Readercon's treatment of Walling's sexual harassment was so biased that they couldn't even start to trust the Con again unless the ENTIRE BOARD stepped down.

So they did.

Umm. And do they have an experienced financial director and an experienced hotel liaison and an experienced guest liaison to replace the ones that stepped down? If not, this is the end of Readercon. And that would seem to me like an over-reaction.

Yes.

And, to the best of my knowledge, they weren't on the Board.

The Board is a five-person subset of the ConCom. Even the conchair isn't a Board member.

Our hotel liaison was on the board, but although she has left the board, she's still on the concom.

This is very definitely not the end of Readercon.
