You know why I don't play multiplayer online games? Because, if I wanted to interact with people in real time, I'd leave the house.

The respawn options in Outside really suck, and I can never find enough health potions.

I don't for the same reason, among others, but I'm fortunate in that my options for real-time interaction are numerous and desirable. If they weren't (such as if I moved in with my small-town relatives) I would play such games (and read more).

I don't do it because I don't have the spoons to be a feminist while I'm gaming, and I am a woman who games. I can *play* Halo and Dragon Age but I can't fight misogyny and game at the same time.

I can manage it face to face, which is sometimes a learning experience for both my tabletop taming groups. :)

Amen!

Like Linus said, "I love humanity; it's the people I can't stand."

For me, sometimes the best way to interact with people in real-time has been outside; sometimes the best way to interact with people in real-time has been online.

It's good to have both options.
