A followup to my post about Naomi "Supergirl" Kutin:

I just checked out her Facebook. She's Modern Orthodox. Yeah, the kid's Jewish.

Her other sports are baseball, and karate.

Because I think in comic books, I'm just thinking back to Joe Greenstein, the strongman and martial artist who was a tiny little Jewish man who went around beating up American Nazis and muggers and stuff, because, y'know, that's what one does.

Naomi "Supergirl" Kutin should change her name to Naomi "Mighty Atom" Kutin, and take up Joe Greenstein's mantle.

You don't think that would be creepy? I'd really rather not be stalker-ish.

Also, I'd be somewhat worried that she'd take me seriously and become a vigilante.

I don't think it's creepy, actually. Someone posting to her about real-life comic-book-style Jewish heroes right up her alley? Why not?

I just suggest prefacing it with an appropriate sentiment of Jewish solidarity, e.g.: "I'm going to share your story with the students in my Hebrew school because it's so inspiring," that sort of thing, "oh and also are you familiar with the Mighty Atom 'cause he was a little Jewish guy who kicked ass and took names? [Wikipedia link] [book link] "

I mean, they linked to her Facebook (community page) in the article, it's *meant* to be publicly accessible. (Of course you could wait a bit for her user traffic to take off; she's only at 124 130 Likes right now, I would hope it goes up from the publicity :-)
