I'm making cookies and a fancy dinner with a friend and her housemate. Then we're having lots of wine, and homemade blueberry booze for a midnight toast.
I've spent the weekend reading bits from Politics and Pot Roast, which is a fabulous book about Presidents, their First Ladys, and the food they ate and entertaining they did. (Not all in the White House, of course.) Such fun, let me tell you.
Assuming you aren't going to take on douchebaggery for New Years, what are your plans?
New Year's Eve, probably here at home. Depending how I feel in a couple of hours, I may spend the afternoon at some friends' open house, though. Or I may stay home and sneeze. (I am both glad I went to a Newtonmass party last weekend, and wondering whether I got this cold there.)
Um, well, it would almost be amusing except for the "Rohypnol Productions" part. And it does come across as overly snarky and almost sad & bitter, but that's just me.
Anyway, we're hanging out with our friend and her daughter. Low-key and pleasant.
