While listening to the radio . . .

Lis and I were in the car and listening to "The Playground" on WERS, which is a show on the Emerson College radio station which plays kids' music. And they played that wonderful Barnes and Barnes classic, "Fish Heads". I started to mention to Lis that, for my 21st birthday, the Koller-Fox family put together a filk of the song in my honor, for very lose definitions of "honor". Lis interrupted me and said, "I remember -- I was there."

My jaw dropped open. I have been romantically involved with my wife since before I was old enough to drink legally in the Massachusetts. I've been with Lis for fifteen years.
