It's quarter past one in the morning, and I'm waiting for my bialys to cool

See, I decided that to make sandwitches for the picnic memorable, I should make bread for it. But, y'know, why make bread if I can think of something better? Lis's father has occasionally complained that, although everybody makes bagels (and few people make them well), nobody makes bialys, which are much easier.

Now, a simple bialy-like thing can be made with just challah dough shaped into bun-sized rounds with sauteed onions and poppy seeds on top.

They look okay. Dunno how they'll taste. They're not authentic bialys, but I think they'll be good.
