The seders

I mentioned having my sister at the Seder by Skype, and that was wonderful.

Yesterday, neither Lis nor I were feeling well, so we ditched the second Seder, which was disappointing, but we're both feeling mostly better now, so that's okay.

Did I mention that I ran the seder at my parents' house? I did. I ran a short but complete one, because we had pre-teens there with limited attention spans, plus people that really needed to be able to leave by 9 or so, because they had early appointments the next morning.

And I did it! We sat down at about six, six-thirty, got to the meal by seven thirty, finished eating by, oh, eight forty or so, and finished the second half of the seder in about twenty minutes. We didn't do any singing afterward -- no Had Gadya, Ani Echad Mi-Yodeah, or Adir Hu, which was a little disappointing -- it would have been fun to sing with the family -- but we managed to do everything that's required, with people being interested and participating.

It was, frankly, wonderful to be with family.
