So, when our upstairs tenants moved out, they left behind an HDTV. I checked; they don't want it. I don't want it.

It's a 2004 Sony Trinitron 34-inch HDTV. It's got fantastic picture quality, and sold for over a thousand bucks back when it was new. Sony KV-34HS420N, if you want to look it up.

Here's the thing. It's a CRT -- just about the largest HD CRT that was made. The sucker is HUGE. The thing weighs close to 200 pounds, according to one spec sheet I found. It's two feet tall, two feet deep, almost three and a half feet wide.

AND it's up two flights of stairs.

However -- it's free to anyone who can come and take it. I'm in Melrose.

We've been talking about a new TV but don't have the money so I might be interested. Can it wait until after Boskone? I can talk to you about it there. (Transport isn't an issue.)

How the heck did they get it up there to begin with? The Incredible Hulk?

Hahaha. I had a Sansui 32" CRT that I just gave to my Doug last week. We moved it down from my second-floor apartment using a furniture dolly, with a blanket over the screen to protect it. Wasn't actually that bad with the dolly. Moved it in a RAV4 and no issues.
