Requires sound, vision is nice but not necessary. This is a bell tower at Iowa State University -- because it is actually rung by hand, they can play more complex melodies than some of the bell towers you may be used to.

It's called a "Carillon", and the bells are controlled by a bank of levers arranged like a piano keyboard. Some carillons also have a pedalboard. A good player can do some pretty cool stuff :)

Wellesley College has a carillon, and a few years ago Tam and I climbed to the top during Alumni Weekend. In addition to the main bell console there's also a practice console which is laid out exactly the same but it rings little metal bars rather than the big bells. I plinked on that for a little bit...
