1 part Schmerling's Chocolate Liqueur. (Schmerling's makes/imports kosher Swiss chocolate and Swiss cheese. And they decided to branch out into a chocolate liqueur. It puts Godiva Chocolate Liqueur to shame. It's like drinking hot fudge.)

1 part Chambord

Splash of Creme Yvette. (Yep, we finally got Creme Yvette. As hoped, it tastes like Creme de Violette doesn't -- it's what we were HOPING Creme de Violette would taste like. It's good.)

3 parts milk

3 parts seltzer

Lis's comment: "It tastes just like a chocolate cherry."

I've got to know where you shop - I'd love to get my hands on some Schmerling's and Creme Yvette.

Unfortunately, we got them when we were in New York. Park Avenue Liquors in Manhattan.

Oooooh. Oooooh. My dad would love that one. He's a big fan of that type of flavor. When he was in college, he and a friend got some of those chocolate-covered cherries with the liquid centers and took the liquid out and replaced it with very pure alchohol from their chemistry class at the time.

Which his little sister then proceeded to eat a bunch of without knowing what they were, which naturally led to his getting into a great deal of trouble.

No, I don't know why I'm telling you this, why do you ask? :)

You are telling the story because it is greatly amusing?

Yum!

Yes, I know that's my usual response to your posts about your liquid concoctions. Can't help it. They sound yummy!

I like the Godiva chocolate liquers (especially the white chocolate one) so I can only imagine how good that Schmerling's tastes. Would love to taste that. Interesting to read a little on the history of Creme Yvette. Saw that it's supposed to be sold in Massachusetts later but not sure when.
