I've been doing stuff for free for friends, mostly. Generally, $20/hour, with prep time billed at the same rate. But I'll negotiate.

Awesome. This is long range, but we might have something for you in the fall, if you don't mind traveling to NYC (trip costs and lodging paid/offered as well).

And, of course, IMO, you should bill your friends if they can afford it.

Wow. That strikes me as vastly underpricing yourself. Charge your friends money! Or at least make them barter other stuff.

It is underpricing myself, but it also depends on what I'm doing, and for whom.
