Today is Speakest Thou Like Shakespeare Day!
The observèd day of our Bard's birth
April 23 -- Saint George's Day --
Is a day that Will might have been born
So, for lack of a better choice,
We choose this day to celebrate his birth.
And one way in which we celebrate
Is to speak, today, in ways he might have done.
And, according to our own dear [livejournal.com profile] papersky,
It's also a day for online works --
Literature in electronic forms
Available for free, for all to read.
Today's a day we celebrate
A Pixel-Stained and Technopeasant Wretch
So, let's all raise a glass and toast and drink
To those who write on screens as well as ink.

If that's the imperative, shouldn't it be "Speak Thou Like Shakespeare Day"?

If you do that, it doesn't fit the iambic pentameter. As Shakespeare was willing to mess up grammar slightly to fit into the meter, I feel free to do the same.
