Dad has suggested that a good crime televeision series would be Sir Isaac Newton: Warden of the Mint.
Every week, Newton would match wits with forgers and counterfeiters, as well as saboteurs, international spies, and anyone else who would try to mess with the smooth operation of the English economy.

If this is an idea which appeals to people who don't watch TV . . . well, yeah. "People who don't watch TV" are actually not as desirable a television watching demographic as you might think.
