I’ve had a mild flu for the past couple weeks. One of the things it’s doing is making eating a bit of a challenge -- a lot of things I just can’t work up an appetite for. (I suspect I may be losing weight. I’m fortunate in that I have enough reserves to lose quite a bit before being at a dangerous level . . . )

But it’s weird what I CAN eat.

I just had an entire bag of spicy barbecue flavor beef jerky. And my body seems very happy with it.

My sweetie eats like that when he's beginning to feel better, to the point where I consider it a sign of recovery.

Just don't forget to keep your fluids up, 'cause all that salted dried meat can play hell with your innards otherwise.

I'm feeling really similarly about the whole, "Wow, it's weird what's food today" thing.

In that case, you might consider foods containing ginger, especially fresh ginger. Thai food might also work. Hope you feel better soon!
