Okay, I think I've got it. . .

To the tune of Warren Zevon's Lawyers, Guns, and Money

Click here to have the music play while you read, so you can sing along!

I went home with the waitress
Then went off to the zoo
How was I to know
She was with Walt Disney too?

I was riding at Busch Gardens
Drinkin' me some ale
Send lemurs, gnus, and monkeys
The Mouse Police are on my trail!

The lemurs have good night sight
And the gnus are there for force
And the monkeys are for cuteness and agility, of course!
Agility of course
Agility of course!

Now I'm hiding in Orlando,
And I'm a desperate man
Send the animal commandos
The shit has hit the fan!

Send lemurs, gnus, and monkeys. . .

*cracks up* That's great!

I wish I knew the original song, but it's still great! :)

I like it. For bonus points, sing it in a Steve Irwin accent.Ï

Not bad at all. :) I might use "llamas" rather than "lemurs" for ease of singing, though.

[identity profile] xiphias.livejournal.com 2003-04-09 09:44 am (UTC)(link)
1. Llamas don't have good night sight.
2. It's pronounced "yahma," so it doesn't sound like "lawyer."
3. Lemurs are funnier than llamas.

[identity profile] jadasc.livejournal.com 2003-04-09 09:50 am (UTC)(link)
1. I know nothing of the night-sight of llamas.
2. In Argentina, maybe. Here in the U.S., it's "lah-ma." As per the Ogden Nash poem, it's a beast.
3. I honestly don't *frink* know what you're talking about.

*giggle* I love this, not the least because I love the original song.
