Lis decided that she deserved a good mojito. She decided that she wanted Jackson Cannon to make one for her, because she figured he'd be able to do it right. So we went to Eastern Standard, and Jackson Cannon made her a mojito and he did it right. It totally wiped out the memory of the other one. It was even better than the other one was disappointing.

I had a drink that Tom, Jackson's apprentice, had developed, and it was amazing. It was the . . . um. . . something-or-other Bramble. It had . . . um . . . stuff in it. Like ginger beer. And, y'know, stuff.

Yeah. Like that.

Y'all want one.

I also bought lingonberry syrup, orange blossom water, and rose water at Cardullo's in Harvard Square, and Peychaud's bitters at a liquor store next door to Eastern Standard.

Lingonberry syrup sounds good. I should pick some up (or, given schedules, maybe ask Adrian to do so).

Mmm, lingonberry syrup.

I have never had a mojito, but they always sounded like something I might like. Not sure who the good mixologists are around here, though.

This reminds me -- would you like a bottle of elderflower syrup?

Cruel!

I wish you could remember what was in that um. . . something-or-other Bramble, because I like ginger beer, and I'm feeling totally tantalized, and I can't just wander over to your area and find out.

I don't know. I watched them make it, but a lot of the stuff they use are things they mix together themselves, so I know that it involved things that were poured into the mixing glass from Tupperware-style containers they had in the bar fridge.

It had chocolate flavors, and ginger flavors, and raspberry flavors, and I don't KNOW what-all.
