Potential minor spoiler for HEROES

Personally, I think that Monica's muscle-memory powers wear off after a few hours or so. So, yeah, she watched the Bruce Lee movies a couple days ago, and had the gang members attacked her THEN, she would have wiped the floor with them, but, when they DID find her, she had had only watched the Parkour video, so she could run and jump and stuff, but not beat the crap out of people or make pretty flowers out of tomatoes.

I doubt that. Remember that she was able to do the tomato thing days after she saw it on TV.

The reason she didn't kick all their asses is that there were 4 guys all with guns pointed at her. Since muscle memory doesn't automatically confer super-speed or Claire-style healing powers, she would've been dead if she'd tried.

That was my thought, that she hadn't studied how to kick guns out of four guys' hands.

I don't think this is it and actually thought it was realistic. When you're stuck wedged into the ceiling and four guys have guns pointed at you from less than ten feet away, your choices are: surrender or get shot. No matter how strong your kung fu is. Course, I thought it was dumb to go into the house toward where they are coming in. She was in the bedroom with the door to the balcony. Once she heard the front door slam shut, if she went out how she came in, she'd have been free as a bird. Bad decision, but an understandable one.

I'm not sure about the time limit, but I had the same thought as bimmer1200, that she should have gone out the way she came in...
