I watched it. I liked it, because I like stinky cheese. As one review stated, "Once you accept tepees with hot tubs, the rest is easy." And Lis was amused by the passionate, soulful looks The Lone Ranger and Tonto gave each other. If this thing was picked up for a series (which will happen sometime after Bozo The Clown: Crimefighter is given the nod (no, there is no such series concept -- I just made it up just now)), I can see lots of LR/T. Anyway, I just want to say, the horse they got for Silver has got to be the most butt-ugly horse I've ever seen. I mean, it was white, sure. But it was albino white, with pink eyes. And it looked like it was inbred. I don't know ANYTHING about horses, but it had a swayback, lousy withers, its forelegs were all weird, and it was just plain ugly.

Lis and I are now arguing about the realism of Tonto's sister's dress which she was able to untie ONE tie and have the whole thing come off. I maintain that that's perfectly reasonable because it was a DREAM SEQUENCE, after all.

And the fourth movement of the William Tell Overture just does not work well on electric guitar.

. . . added a couple minutes later . . .

Oh yeah, and why would you change the name of the character to "Luke Hartman" when originally the character was called "John Reid", which is just so much more butch?

Oh, and Lis pointed out that I forgot to mention Keanu-sabe, the OTHER guy who's got the hots for Tonto's sister.

I remember having a huge conversation on an email list or something once about albino/cremello/[third type forgotten] horses. As I recall, and I could be wrong, true albinos are linked to lethal genes in horses, and the albino looking ones are called cremellos or something, and are almost always ugly as sin.

Don't, I beg you, ask me my opinion of palominos...I grew up next door to a guy who bred foxtrotters trying to get a reliable palomino. Argh! (Reliable palomino COLOR...reliable temperamentally is another matter.)

I think I'm glad I don't watch normal tv...

Given that the WB is the home for teen angst romance applied to any genre --horror (Buffy's original network), superheroes (Birds of Prey, Smallville), alien conspiracy (Roswell), soap operas (Dawson's Creek)-- I'm wondering when they'll try to spin off "Law & Order High School" with some unknown hunk actor playing the part of a soulful, doe-eyed Lennie Bristow?

Briscoe... He does have soulful eyes, but I don't see him as a doe-eyed hunk. :) I really hope the WB doesn't do this. I'd feel like I had to at least try to watch it, and I don't watch network tv shows until they get replayed at a convenient time on cable.

I have to admit...I have a guilty passion for Charmed. But I watch it on TNT.
