Ronnie Gilbert, who sang with the Weavers, is my mother's half-first cousin (RG's mother and my grandfather had the same mother. She had RG's mother many years after my grandfather, after her first husband died and she ran back to her shtetl and married her childhood sweetheart, who was recently widowed and had 8 kids already. RG's mother was #9.)

And of course Ronnie and I have met :)
