Can anyone give me an example of ANY problem that we'd have with socialized medicine that we don't have right now with our current health care system?

I mean, if I'm going to have to go through byzantine, bizzare, arbitrary bureaucracy and have to bang my head against walls and argue with people to have simple, commonsense health care taken care of, I'd like to at least know that it was available to everyone.

I don't have a choice of doctor or hospital for those illnesses, either. I don't get one. Which means that I have, of course, also been waiting substantially longer than a couple of years for some medical procedures that won't kill me any time soon, but do cause substantial problems.

Oh, you mean upper middle class and wealthy people having to wait a tiny fraction of the time that the rest of us have to wait? Oh, well. Can't have that, can we?
