So, the cool thing about Pirates of the Carribean is that it not only has pirates, it not only has zombies, but it has zombie pirates. And not only that, it's got a zombie pirate monkey!

Firefly and Serenity, of course, have the Reavers, which are Space Pirate Zombies, which are even cooler than regular Pirate Zombies. Also, the Reavers are Pirate Zombies, while the PotC crew are Zombie Pirates, which are totally different.

Any other cool combos we can think of? Can anyone think of a robotic ninja monkey?

Karin Lowachee's books have, according to [livejournal.com profile] zorinth, space pirate geishas.

Male space pirate geishas, if that makes a difference.

I am totally reading one of those right now, and it does in fact have male and female space pirate geishas. Which is all kinds of awesome.

"The Fog" (1980) appeared to have Undead Leper Pirates made out of fog...I think there might have been a orangutan, which would be a Undead Leper Monkey Pirate.

So, this is what comes up when you do a google search on "robotic ninja monkey."

"If science continues to move forward with their evil monkey plans, soon monkeys won't even need humans to put on their pants. I don't want to live in a world like that."

Well, that had robots, burger-zombies, pirates, and a gorilla in it, as well as Irish ninjas and a fast-food mime. And it DID have a doctor-ninja-mime, but as Dr. McNinja isn't a robot, pirate, monkey, or zombie, I don't know if it counts. . .

Do you remember a movie back in the 80's called Ice Pirates? It had robotic pirates, and if I remember one of them fought martial arts too.

Lush makes a body wash called Sonic Death Monkey. Smells a bit like chocolate and pipe tobacco

Which, I should point out, was the name of Barry's band in High Fidelity.

Pipe tobacco?

Nah. It's chocolate and coffee and lime. Yum!

Wait, I'm confused. I thought you had to die, then be re-animated to be a zombie. If that's accurate, then the Reavers can't be zombies because they're the ones who didn't die. They just went atavistic. But the Atavists on Earth: Final Conflict did die (sort of), so could they be considered zombies?

I'm with you - I don't get how the Reavers are zombies at all.

It's in how they're used. They may not, technically, be undead, but they are a shambling flesh-eating mass of vaguely huminoid-but-horribly-grotesque horror.

Rob: So was Jeffrey Dahmer. But he wasn't a zombie. Although maybe he's a zombie now.

Also, John Wayne Gacy was a killer clown.

No, but if you haven't played it already, I strongly recommend the Monkey Island series.

That has monkeys, pirates, and zombies in it, and at least one zombie pirate (Murray), but does it have robots?

Well, heck, LeChuck is eventually a flaming zombie ghost pirate.

I believe the fourth Monkey Island game has a giant robot monkey in it.

The Doctor Who episode "The Pirate Planet" (by Douglas Adams) had a Robotic Space Pirate and a Robotic Space Pirate Parrot. [And, K-9 proved himself to be a Robotic Space Pirate Bird Dog.]

But how does your theory explain the box office failure of "Treasure Planet" which was chock full of space pirates.

R2-D2 can fly an X-wing by himself, can't he? So that makes him a Robot Pilot.

Oh, wait, you said pirate. Sorry. The two words are so much alike...
