I made another octopus hot dog. . .

An octopus hot dog

Another view of an octopus hot dog.

The hot dog sits on a bed of sauerkraut, and the smiley face is done with Dijon mustard.

I was gonna offer to make you one for lunch when you came over, but, I figured, you've got enough to deal with in your life already.

Actually, that may be the least offensive thing I've seen made with a hot dog. (-:

I'm tempted to suggest you post it to [livejournal.com profile] food_porn ...

You, my friend have done a bad bad thing, and then

Before I saw the pictures, the only thing that prevented me from assuming an Iron Chef style "hot dog made with octopus meat" was the unlikelihood of *you* doing such a thing, and concluded that you must have turned a hot dog into an octopus. Which, incidentally, I would have phrased as "a hot dog octopus".

it's a good thing you're contemplating becoming a rabbi and not a mohel.

*groan*

Speaking of which, is it kosher to take kosher food and make it into a nonkosher shape? I've heard various thoughts on this.

well, I don't think in this case anyone would think you were eating an actual octopus...

Well, Imitation Crab meat is kosher, but I have a friend who is a rabbi who had a dream that God told her that Jill should stop eating it. (I was never into it, myself.)
