Last night, our cat pissed all over Lis's bag she takes to work, and her purse. The bag's in the washing machine right now, and it is to be hoped it is salvageable, because, with the laptop insert and padded shoulder strap and all, I think it's over $100. It's a really good bag: Lis and I got our bags back when CourierWare was a storefront shop outside of Harvard Square. They're now out of Vermont, and mainly mail-order.

I may have unfair insight, but here's how I assumed Ian's unfinished sentence would continue:
Lis and I got our bags back when Courierware still had a store in Harvard Square.
Followed by some lament how they've gone mail-order only.

But I am curious how you intended to finish the sentence. Pray, enlighten!
