xiphiasI'll just put the cut right up here so that I don't accidentally leave it out.
Okay. So, we DID see this movie in one of the sneak previews, but it works a lot better with the right music and the print at the right light level and all.
One disappointment: that scene where River's hiding on the ceiling and two people walk under her -- in the sneak, they were talking to each other, and their dialogue was a direct quote from the dialogue that two stormtroopers were saying when Obi-Wan Kenobi was disabling the tractor beam. That was cut.

vonbeck, felis_sidus, rebmommy, my father who doesn't have an LJ, cheshyre, and me -- browngirl was supposed to meet us, but was eaten by the buses) partially because we didn't want them to have to deal with Wash's death without friends around them. But mainly because we like our friends and like hanging out with them.
Mom/rebmommy made an interesting observation, which was that what happened on Miranda was massive imbalance of the yetzer ha-ra -- with no yetzer ha-ra ("the evil impulse"), what happens is precisely what happened to 99.9% of the population -- they just laid down and died, for not wanting to bother feeding themselves or anything. What happened to the other 0.1% that became Reavers -- that's what happens when you have absolutely no yetzer ha-tov and have ONLY yetzer ha-ra.
