bOstOn has disabled anonymous posting, so I can't post this directly to her; would you pass it on? I don't think it would be a good idea for me to board the cats because I'm going to be having some noisy, messy work done on the house this summer, assuming the refinancing goes through. That plus having two new cats in the house wouldn't be so good for Titu, and probably wouldn't be good for the cats looking for accomodations. There are a couple of things that can help her cats remember her:
1) She can wear some article of clothing for a day or so just before leaving, then, without washing it, leave the article with the person boarding the cats. He/she should leave it somewhere the cats will encounter it frequently, and possibly lie on it if they wish.

2) Make an audio tape of herself petting and talking to her cats. This should be just normal interaction, but taped. The tape can then be played back to the cats regularly, so they continue to recognize her voice.
