Disorganization: the gift that keeps on giving.

So, now that we're back in the house, we've finally gotten all our dry-cleaning delivered. 'Cause, after the fire, the insurance company had a dry cleaner come in, take away all our stuff that could smell like smoke, and clean in, and hang onto all of it while our house was being worked on and we were living in the hotel.

So we got a HUGE pile of Clothing And Blankets And Sheets And Stuff all neatly hung on hangers, which we now have to figure out where it came from originally. A good chunk of the stuff on hangers doesn't go on hangers, 'cause it goes in the drawers, so this is all a bit of a puzzle.

Anyway, we were getting down to the bottom of the stack, and we saw something in the same pattern as the sheets that were on the bed.

It looked comforter-like, but in the same pattern as our sheets.

In fact, it IS a comforter, in the same pattern as our sheets.

And there's a dust-ruffle, in the same pattern.

We also found pillow shams that match another quilt of ours.

We had no clue that we had these things.

I'm kind of excited, actually. We've got a dust ruffle and comforter that match our sheets! Go us! Who knew?

Hee hee hee.

I keep telling my mother-in-law to forget about shopping. Just go open some of the boxes in her basement. She doesn't remember any of that stuff, and yet, she likes all those things. And it's free!

Sniff, if only I wasn't so organized, I could have fun too... :p

For years, every time I cleaned my desk, I would find at least one $50 US savings bond. You would think that with incentive like that, I'd clean my desk more often :)

Isn't that great? You don't need to shop to bring novelty into your life; just go open a box or a seldom-used drawer and see what pops up. :-)
