Honestly, this is the first time I've been PROUD to be on LiveJournal since the sale to SixApart.

The downtime that LJ has been having has been due to distributed denial of service attacks (DDOS attacks). Rumors are that these are being done by folks in the Russian government who are targeting Russian-language LJs that exist to expose government corruption.

This is the first damn good reason I've had to get a paid account. At this point, paid accounts to LiveJournal are a way to fight a corrupt regime. Certainly, I have a DW account also, but, because of this, I'm definitely sticking around here.

No, not my wife. The third woman I dated (depending on how you count), but the first woman who I was serious enough about to have actual romantic love for, is jehanna, who just this month moved into our downstairs apartment.
