If you remember, Lis and I went bowling with a bunch of people because [livejournal.com profile] shadesong was in town, and that was the first time I'd ever gone bowling.

Since then, I've kept asking Lis, "So, can we go bowling again today? C'mon, can we? Let's go bowling!" And Lis keeps saying that, the day after we went bowling, her shoulder hurt.

So I just said, "Candlepin bowling has a light ball, maybe your shoulder wouldn't hurt with that?" and she said "Maybe," in that kind of way that means "no."

Okay. So three detainees at Guantanamo manage to commit suicide. A military spokesman calls it "an act of asymmetric warfare."

This explains a hell of a lot about the Pentagon's strategy.

Apparently, they think that whoever has most people die pointlessly wins. So that's why they don't armor Humvees, prevent soldiers from buying their own body armor, make people drive broken trucks, and pay KBR for failing to provide vital services to the Army. If we can have more soldiers die than they do, we win!

Maybe civilians count toward our total, too.
