Yes, I saw that depression meme that's going around. I just don't feel up to DOING anything about it.

Sadly, I'm more-or-less serious about this. I've been intending to participate in the meme for the past couple of days, but just haven't been able to work up the motivation.

I don't think there's a time limit on it. I'm sorry you've been depressed latley. I've just been getting over my own depressive episode. I wouldn't have been able to write out the meme then either.

Is hard to mix, because the flavor is so strong. The traditional way is to dilute it with water and sugar. Maybe something minty, to cut the astringent anise taste?

What jadasc said. You pour about a shot of absinthe into a tall glass, and put an "absinthe spoon" on top of the glass (which is a sort of slotted spoon), and put a sugar cube on the spoon, and pour water over the sugar cube slowly, until the sugar dissolves and the glass is full. It's about one part absinthe to three or four parts water, and the absinthe turns from green to milky-yellowish-greenish-white. It's nifty.
