I bought a set of hair clippers, and buzzed my head. Much easier and faster than shaving it with a razor. I made crepes for dinner.

And a cat showed up.

We were hanging around the house in the evening, and a cat walked in from downstairs.

We didn't recognize her. She looks like a Russian Blue with a ringtail, and she and Boopsie did the whole Feline Standoff thing for a while. I brought Persephone upstairs, too, just to see what would happen if we had THREE cats in the room, but they both ignored her.

After a few hours of watching Boop and this strange cat stare each other down, Dave came home.

Turns out this is a cat Dave got from his folks Dunno whether he's planning on keeping her and having two cats, or what.

I do worry about our furniture downstairs. . .

Okay, I should go to sleep now.

Ooh. Russian blue. My dad's got one (or should that be, one has my dad?). Handsomest cat I've ever seen. Not remarkably cute, as cats go, but handsome.

The two things in the same paragraph led to some really disgusting imagery in my head!

Do you have a crepe iron, or do you do something frightfully creative? We've been thinking about trying to make crepes on the bottom of an iron skillet. I figure there's no reason why it shouldn't work, even though they'll all have the brandname of my skillets on them.

I have a 12-inch nonstick straight-sided skillet. I didn't even know that there WAS a specific tool for crepes -- I've always made them by heating up a skillet, pouring a thin batter on it, and tilting the skillet around to make the pancake thin.

Last night Violet was totally digging the scratching post, and being so enthralled with it, seems pretty disinterested in the furniture.
