Jul. 7th, 2004 01:51 amWent to work tonight -- it is the only function all week. It was a get-together for a conference of trial lawyers. Turns out that this is an organization to which John Edwards belongs, so lots of people there knew him personally, and were happy about his veep nod.
As you know, Democrats tip better than Republicans, so I made an extra $20.
Dave's cousin dropped off some bookcases a couple days ago; we may get more tomorrow. I've been using them to reshelve fiction, alphabetically by author. I've almost filled two bookcases, and I'm up to "H". Of course, this is just fiction, not counting plays, mythology, or poetry. But other than that, we're shelving fiction together: although my first temptation was to shelve SF&F, mystery, children's, and general fiction separately, Lis pointed out that it makes absolutely no sense to do so for a collection as small as ours, and would require me to make many judgement calls.
