So, Lis mentioned that Boopsie had started to figure out a way to eat around the PillPockets so that she could get the treat and spit out the pill.

After pondering this for a while, Lis suggested that maybe this was happening because the PillPockets had dried out, and were therefore crumbly enough to allow the cat to manage this.

So, last couple nights, I've put a pill in the PillPocket, run it under the faucet for a second, and THEN given it to the cat. And she's been unable to eat the treat without eating the pill. Although she's clearly still attempting to do so. She's just ending up eating the pill anyway.

Also, here's a partial list of the things we call Persephone, who's [livejournal.com profile] merkcomet's cat, who lives downstairs:

  • Persephone
  • Percy
  • Seph
  • Sephie
  • Weirdling
  • Ratcat
  • Squeaky

Personally, I think "weirdling" is a great name for any cat that can be referred to as "ratcat."

You forgot "stinky" or "stinker", "spooky" (partly because she's a black cat in dark hallways, and partly because that was the name of our previous tenant's cat)

Here's something I wrote a while ago on just how weird this cat really is.
