If anyone wanted to help me out, I wouldn't mind. But I suspect that most of my friends will be as frantically cleaning as I am over the next two weeks.
I'd help but it's kind of a long commute... :) (Anything to stop reading these awful papers by students who can't write in English. At. All. Even the native speakers.)
There's a lot to be said for never eating and reading a book at the same time, or declaring whole rooms to be chametz-free for the duration of the year.
My cleaning will (hopefully) be much reduced this year as I am moving to a bedsit. I'll move, clean everything, kasher the kitchen as best I can and just stay Pesachdik until it is actually Pesach. I'd probably clean everything moving in anyway, and it's only one room.
I didn't eat in any room other than the kitchen for many years. Lis, on the other hand, does, and so, when we moved in together, I started eating in other rooms, too.
In any case, this is partially a yearly clean-and-declutter that has to be done anyway. Pesach is just a good deadline.
I've already decided that I'm either going to have to buy a vacuum or hire a cleaning service, and the cost is about the same, so... likely the cleaning service. Still need to declutter though.
Then again, if you could loan a vacuum, I could help you clean. :)
