She hadn't been eating or drinking for a couple days, which is not a good sign. However, I suspect the crisis is past: when I walked into the kitchen to phone the vet, she followed me in, seemed to notice that she had food in her bowl, and started eating with gusto. In any case, I'm taking her to the vet this afternoon, because she's overdue for shots and a checkup, anyway.
