The sad truth
As much as I love them, this is exactly the issue which is why I could never deal with having a pet physicist.

Yeah...except it didn't take Feynman until he got old. Feynman started early. I kinda really don't like the man.

This makes me sad. Partly because it's way too true. My dad rattled around but ended up going into economics...I seem to be centering on psychology...

Trouble is that, when I'm finished with my second thought, I can't recall the first!
