"The gown has a pocket slit on the wearer's right, a full pocket on the wearer's left"
RPI also has a full pocket. But they get Beefeater style caps instead of the normal octagonal tam.
We suspected that the engineering school doctoral gowns would have pockets. . .
Oh, and don't get a doctorate from Johns Hopkins.
