Still testing and refining my cocktail for the contest on Monday.

I'm now in the "My Ghu! This is AWFUL! How the heck did I even imagine that this was worth entering in a contest? I'm a TERRIBLE BARTENDER!" phase.

From what I understand, this is a normal part of the process.

You'll do fine, my friend; and I know you will represent yourself well, with humor and dignity and a very tasty drink.

If your process is anything like my process ("Ghu deliver me, every word in this book is the most abominable claptrap, no one will ever buy it, the reviewers will mock me and I will never publish again...!"), then yup. Utterly normal.

Good luck!

Apropos nothing, if you've got free time on Sunday, I sent you and your lovely wife an email about some gaming I'm doing on the Upper West Side :-)

have fun - that's the most important thing - after all, you will be in New York with Lis to celebrate her birthday! (don't forget to call you dad for Father's Day) - my advice: relax, have fun with the contest, celebrate mightily (but without too much alcohol), and have a wonderful experience

Good luck!

Is it too late to wish you good luck?

Well, good luck anyway.
