I think most of them are quite attractive, and I am extremely fond of my Leatherman (which is a Flair, because I open wine bottles pretty often). I do not argue with your aesthetic desire. But... for me, this is like a broadsword made of gold. Tools are meant to be used, and carry-everywhere multitools are meant to be kicked around and beaten the hell otu of.

Of course, I've seen some truly beautiful decorated swords, and armor, and even gardening tools. I don't know whether they saw daily use, but as art objects structured around the pragmatic tools they were great.

And just maybe pure art could justify what seems an otherwise obscene price. If these were made of solid gold that would still take up only half the cost (making some assumptions about comparability to the regular Charge, and different densities of material). And $40K, as a pocketknife is more than faintly ridiculous. But $40K for a piece of art might not be.
