Here in MA I have heard a number of people speak against gay marriage with their arguments essentially boiling down to ignorance. Arguments like "it's unnatural" or "I just don't get it" or "ew!", none of which I find particularly persuasive, or a good motivation to prevent gay marriages (just for the speaker to not have one themselves). One of my friends even said that if it came to a ballot measure to ban gay marriage here in Mass, that we'd probably pass it and ban gay marriage. I don't agree and hope it's not true, but even more I hope it never comes to a vote.
