Would pomegranate concentrate (not the juice) work for grenadine in you recipes? No sugar in it - so you'd still have to add sweetener. Sadaf makes a good, kosher concentrate. I use it to make a celebratory drink for holidays: sparkling grape juice (or sparkling wine), pomegranate concentate, with a few pomegranate seeds in the bottom of the glass. Pretty color.
