Good luck on the exercise thing. I've been fighting this battle myself, ever since my metabolism changed in late 20's. Hardest thing about gym is actually getting there. A trick I've found is to have a gym bag always packed. Keeps you from getting side tracked looking for clothes, picking up this, taking care of that, ect. 'Course, you pretty much need to have at least two sets of bags/clothes/stuff so one's always ready.

A second thing I've done is, regardless of gym day or not, I do crunches and sit ups. Not a lot at a time, just 20/20 each, when getting up, another set after shower, another set before getting dressed. Just getting that 60 in every day makes me feel I've accomplished something and am holding back entropy, just that little bit more.

Man, jealous of Italy trip. Want to take wife there one day. If you get the chance, hit Sienna and climb the clock tower there. Another huge set of steps but the view from the top is amazing. Also, standing in a 20 story brick tower, that is swaying in the wind is scary as hell. Cool!
